The Glenurquhart Farm Cluster is a newly formed, grass roots group of farmers & crofters, mostly small-scale, working together to increase the range of habitats on their farms & increase the watershed health by creating new ponds & wetlands, & restoring those that have lost their wildlife value.

Ponds will be of different sizes, depths & in a variety of locations to provide homes & refuge for different species.

The aim is to provide a network of ponds & wetlands dotted throughout Glenurquhart & Strathglass as one venture – showing the benefit, importance & relevance of making lots of small-scale habitat improvements throughout the landscape.

This grant is for the costs of machinery & operators to create the wetlands & ponds.
