New Project Co-ordinator in post!

We’re excited to welcome Louis MacMillan to the HIEF team! As Project Co-ordinator, he is looking forward to visiting many of the projects that the HIEF supports and raising awareness of their inspiring approaches to nature protection and restoration.

After growing up in Argyll, Louis studied at the University of Edinburgh, where he has recently graduated in Geography (BSc). A passion for environmental justice prompted a dissertation on community involvement in environmental decision making, focusing specifically on the planning process for a major fish farm application on the West Coast of Scotland.

Outdoor pursuits such as climbing and surfing further fuel his appreciation for the natural world, and unique landscapes, of which we are a part.
